After approximately a 20-minute outage in the US-East-2 region of AWS, the cloud hosted servers came back online and all systems are functioning properly. AWS are yet to indicate a reason for the downtime however we believe it was due to a network issue between the above AWS region and the wider internet. We will continue monitoring the situation to prevent any unexpected issues.
AWS have updated their status page as follows:
12:49 AM PDT We are currently investigating connectivity issues in the US-EAST-2 Region.
12:59 AM PDT Between 12:11 AM and 12:45 AM PDT we experienced impaired Internet connectivity in the US-EAST-2 Region. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.
